I started writing and taking photos at an early age, and started travelling at 19. My work is shaped by the people I meet and work with, and the landscapes I experience. I strongly believe observation, listening, and being present with people and land is important to establishing community, both locally and globally.
It is my hope that this comes through in my images and words.
I am a graduate of Goddard College in Vermont. My thesis is a place-based, creative non-fiction and photography project called Forging a New (H)earth: Reflections on Community, Sustainability, Wildness, and History, on Knoydart, Scotland. I have included a selection of the images from the project on this website. The whole project can be found here.
My most recent project is a collaboration with amy königbauer and other artists from Vermont, during the time of Covid-19 quarantine from March - July 2020. It can be purchased here.
